With the release of version 6.4, health administrators can easily record and track restrictions for their student population. The new Student Restrictions entry tool, available from the student health page, allows users to associate district-defined restriction types to students, along with restriction details, start date, end date, requester, and documentation received. Restriction records created for students are audited by default, and users can view the history of updates. In addition, a new Student Restrictions Report allows health administrators to review records for the entire student population using a variety of filters, including grade level, restriction type, student group, and more.
Subject Common Filter
Version 6.4 includes the ability to customize third-party zap outputs to meet the needs of each individual district and vendor. The new Subject common filter, which is available when configuring a zap, allows districts to limit the class and roster data that is included in each extract based upon the subject associated with the corresponding course. This filter can be applied to a variety of zaps, including Achieve 3000, Apple School Manager, Canvas, Career Cruising, ClassFlow, Classlink, Clever, eSchoolData, Ellevation, Google, Hero, HMH, Illuminate, iReady, K12 Alerts, Kickboard, LinkIt, Literably, Little SIS, Microsoft, NWEA, Pearson EasyBridge, RRT, School Messenger, Schoology, and Star Renaissance, ensuring that only the applicable information is synced with each third-party product.
Copy Course Feature
Master schedulers now have the ability to easily copy courses within a catalog or to catalogs associated with other buildings. The new Copy feature, available from the View Course page, launches a New Course window that is pre-populated with the selected settings for the target record. From this tool, users can make adjustments to each course field, and select the scheduling year and building to which it should be copied. Validations ensure that duplicate courses cannot be created, and that all target buildings have the required course configuration options.
BOCES Portal Progress Report
With the release of version 6.4, home district counselors and staff can easily monitor student performance at BOCES Centers. The new Progress Report tab, available from the BOCES Portal, allows users to view the progress report comments and grades associated with each course for all of their students enrolled in the center. This report can be filtered by a variety of criteria, including first name, last name, ID number, and school, and can be printed or exported to Excel.
