Custom Letter Builder
With the release of version 6.0, districts can now easily customize the format and content of letters. The new Attendance and Discipline Letter Builders provide a variety of layouts, formatting options, and widgets. Each of the widgets provides basic configuration options, including content orientation, font, font family, font size, decoration, alignment, shading, and borders. In addition, users can leverage the available fields from the Rich Text widget for further customization of the output. Once a template has been saved, users will have the ability to generate letters for eligible students based upon the selected parameters.
With the release of version 6.0, teachers can easily represent student attendance and participation in marking period grade calculations. The new Attendance Score measure, available from Gradebook Setup, allows teachers to define a variety of grading criteria for the measure. The Attendance Roster permits teachers to enter grades for each class meeting time and student. These grades are presented within the Gradebook, and can be included in marking period calculations and shared with parents and students via the eSchoolPortals.
Attendance Events for Discipline Actions
Version 6.0 allows district staff to easily manage in- and out-of-school suspensions and student attendance events in a single transaction. With this release, the New Discipline Action interface has been enhanced to provide new options for automatically generating attendance events when creating a record using the ISS or OSS action types. The new Create Attendance Event option allows users to seamlessly generate an attendance event for the corresponding action based on the defined duration. In addition, users can customize the reason for each event generated from this interface. Subsequent changes to the discipline action will also update the corresponding attendance event, ensuring that both records remain synced.
Student Medication Details
Health administrators can track additional student medication details with the release of version 6.0. The New Medication Log page has been enhanced to permit users to indicate the location of student medications, as well as the parties that are permitted to administer them. District staff can include these new details in the Student Medical Conditions & Alerts/Allergies Report by selecting the corresponding option.
