Welcome to eSD 5.8! This release includes a number of new features that are designed to enhance the online registration process, manage critical student contact information, communicate discipline actions, and more

  • Online Registration Enhancements provide registrars with new tools to more easily manage the online application process.
  • Daily Discipline Action Report allows deans and administrators to identify all detentions and suspensions for a date.
  • Student Contact Indicators provide staff with the tools to collect and communicate critical information.

Online Registration Enhancements
This release includes a variety of enhancements to the Online Registration module based on district feedback.  Registrars can now manage students with active enrollment records using the online registration module.  The Acceptance Interface has been enhanced to allow users to save selections prior to accepting an application.  The Similiar Households tool is automatically populated with potential matches based on surname or street address.  Finally, the new Anticipated Enrollment Stats by Grade presents a tally of all students expected to enroll for the upcoming academic year.

Daily Discipline Action Report
With the release of version 5.8, deans and administrators can easily identify all students assigned to a discipline action for a single date or a date range.  The new Daily Action Report includes information about the offender and assigned action, including student name, ID number, grade, action type, start date, end date, and building.  The results can be filtered by a variety of criteria, including student name, ID, grade, group, status, section, action date range, and action type.  This report can be printed or exported to Excel.

Student Contact Indicators
Version 5.8 allows districts to record critical information about student contacts.  The Court Order: No Access to Child checkbox, which is available when creating a new or editing an existing guardian record, indicates to district staff that a child is not to be made available to specific individuals.  This indicator can be updated for each guardian-student relationship, and the alert will be presented in the Phone icon tooltip.  In addition, the Child Pickup checkbox, which is available for all guardian and emergency contacts, indicates to district staff the individuals to which a student may be released.  This information will also be presented from the Student Contact page.  These additional fields will be incorporated into online contact verification forms, reports, and other areas of the application in future releases.

  • Cumulative/Custom Report
    Users can now include student schedule details in the Cumulative/Custom attendance report.
  • Discipline Action Messaging
    Districts can configure discipline action messages to include or exclude information pertaining to the incident, offender, and victim.
  • Student Name/Gender History
    Administrators can easily review changes to student records, including the previous information, the date it was modified, and the staff member who processed the change.
