Welcome to Release 4.4!
Welcome to eSD 4.4! This release includes a number of new features that are designed to support interoperability, enhance workflows, analyze student data, and more.
Calling System Enhancements
Version 4.4 includes a number of enhancements designed to support automated third party calling systems and improve communication between districts and parents. The new Attendance Phone flag allows districts to indicate the phones associated with guardian records that should be included in the Calling System Contact extract. This extract has been updated to include additional fields for SMS enabled devices and student cell phones. In addition, a new Attendance Rule option allows districts to exclude records for which the Verified flag is enabled when generating the Calling System Attendance extract.
Course Request History
With the release of version 4.4, counselors can easily view a summary of each student’s course requests for the previous scheduling year. The Course Request History field, available from the Course Request tab within the Student Profile, presents a record of all course request transactions, including assignments, approvals, and deletions. In addition, the report presents the user that created and/or deleted the request, as well as its status.
Study Hall Wizard
The legacy Study Hall Wizard has been retired and replaced with an enhanced study hall scheduler. The new Study Hall Wizard, initially introduced with version 3.9, incorporates a number of end user enhancement requests and workflow improvements in an updated interface. The section creation and student scheduling processes have been decoupled to provide users with complete control over the study hall scheduling process, and a new report provides schedulers with study hall section loads by day code.
