GURU Import Tools
Version 5.0 included our new Gradebook Import tool, which is available to all GURU subscribers. With the release of version 5.1, this tool has been expanded to synchronize a variety of data between third party products and eSD. The new meal status import option allows users to map data extracts from third party products, such as Nutrikids, and import them into eSD. This import tool accepts student ID, start date, end date, and status data, and automatically updates the corresponding meal status records in eSD. The new transportation import option allows users to map data extracts from third party products, such as Transfinder and Versatrans, and import them into eSD. This import tool accepts student ID, AM route, AM route description, AM route time, PM route, PM route description, and PM time, and automatically updates the corresponding bus assignments in eSD. Each of these new import options allow users to import locally stored files on-demand, or automate the process by creating a zap to retrieve the file from a pre-defined location on a scheduled basis. The transaction log displays the results of each import, and can be exported to Excel.
Walk-In Scheduler Study Hall Support
With the release of version 5.1, the Walk-In Scheduler has been enhanced to easily reconcile free times in new student schedules. When using the Auto Schedule feature, all study hall sections in which a student is currently enrolled will be ignored, and users will be prompted to generate the new schedule with or without study halls. When including study halls, the Walk-In Scheduler will attempt to fulfill all requests in the working area, and then enroll students in available study hall sections during the resulting free times.
Version 5.1 includes a number of enhancements that are designed to ease the creation and management of standards-based report cards. The new layout settings icon provides a sort field, which can be used to modify the order of sections within the standards-based report card during the template creation process. The new Rich Text Widget provides a variety of tools for creating and customizing text, bullet lists, numbered lists, tables, and more. The margins fields allow users to define the margins to be used when exporting standards-based report cards to a PDF file.
